Dr Gary Hickey, internationally renowned art historian and curator of Japanese Art, contacted me to request the creation of a website to detail and publicise his art and cultural tours to Japan. Gary and his wife Haruyo Maeda share with a select group of art lovers their vast knowledge of Japan during these tours which they personally conduct. As this is a new venture, it was necessary to create a logo, look and feel for the business and I decided to use the plum blossom of Haruyo's family crest or seal, incorporating it into the logo, page background and favicon. Gary and Haruyo nominated green as their preferred colour scheme and I've used greens evocative of the famous moss gardens of Japan to complement Gary's splendid photos.

Still a work in progress, this website was launched in November 2007 with a selection of the vast range of custom made clothing and promotional items Bluegum offers. A requirement was that not only products with all their options be presented invitingly but that customers could request a quotation for every item showcased. The site content is designed to work with the header masthead which pre-existed and was designed by Bluegum itself. Glenn Wykes of Ezycarts has designed a unique system for this site which speedily tallies requested quotes always visible to site visitors as they peruse the pages. |

This site has the vital function of taking potential clients through the wonderful Italian art tours on offer by Margaret and Ray Cowling. Most of the photos throughout have been taken by my clients and I've aimed to keep them as large as possible to allow rapid loading while still giving an idea of the wonders in store. Also included is a gallery of Margaret's wonderfully vibrant water colour paintings and evocative sketches. As a result of its initial optimisation and regular updates, the site continues to get a great rate of traffic and remains at the top of the major search engine listings. |
An Arabian horse stud site designed for successful breeder Laureen Schmidt to outline her breeding program and show her superb horses as well as just a little of this beautiful stud at Romsey. Laureen has received compliments from those in the horse

| Award winning photographer, Giorgio Karayiannis needed a web site to showcase his work and demonstrate his versatility. Unlike most sites of this genre, I used larger than usual thumbnails so visitors could appreciate the 150+ images without always having to view an enlargement. However when selected, the enlargements are optimised to load quickly without loss of impact or quality of Giorgio's stunning photographs. |

Syrah Arabians is a select stud breeding quality Arabian horses in the Macedon Ranges of Victoria, Australia. This site was designed to optimally present the beauty of the horses to the Arabian horse world. Information about each, including its pedigree, is clearly outlined. The web site site has helped generate a number of sales both in Australia and overseas. It continues to generate stallion service enquiries and usage. |
Alphalea Arabians is located in the South West of the Great Southern Region of Western Australia. Its owner/manager Lusia Abbott breeds Supreme Champion show and elite endurance horses which carry bloodlines blended from the world's best sources of Polish, Egyptian and Russian bloodlines. This completely new web site launched in June 2008 replaces one which Lusia produced in 2006. I strove to make the most of her original handsome line-drawing logo which honours her Polish father's life and service as an Air Force Engineer. |

Yet another Arabian horse stud site under construction. More beautiful horses but each of the studs for which I have produced a web site has its own people, personality and philosophy, that inspires even demands a unique look and feel for each. |
When asked to redesign the entire site content. I chose to continue to use the original purples of the splash intro page as I thought it suited the character of Australia's most famous psychic clairvoyant and astrologer Kerry Kulkens self-described 'white witch'. I had great fun designing the new logo/masthead to look somewhat excitingly ectoplasmic! Still to be done is the conversion of the original (very) basic shopping order form to a functional and convenient on line credit card shop. |
